The handset uses PC Studio 3.0 (build FB3) Data Kit part number is PKT200 and can be ordered through our Accessory Department. The Product ID of the USB cable included with the PC Studio Data Kit is PCB200BBE (Not sold separately) should there be need to verify the cable. PC Studio 3.0 is compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms respectfully. Some functions of PC Studio 3.0 will requires a Direct X version higher than 9.

PC Studio 3.0 contains an array of applications to assist in customization of your handset. The following is a list of applications bundled with PC Studio 3.0 which is compatible for use with many different Samsung models. However, based on model, not all applications may be available once connected to the computer. A description of each feature is listed in the table below with details on which of the features is compatible for use with your handset.
Note: When using Live Update to upgrade to FKB or later, some options are combined into one area.
Phone Editor
(Manage Contacts & More)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of Personal Information Manager data (PIM data: Contacts, etc.) from the handset to a Computer.
Message Manager
(Manage Messages)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of SMS data (text messages) from the handset to computer.
Phone Explorer
(Manage Files)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of user created data such as photos and videos from the handset to a computer.
NOTE: Transferring of MP3s is possible through use of this application provided they do not have any security restrictions, such as DRM. The interest in this application is due to the "gateway" which it creates for customizing the handset with different wallpaper and ringtones.
Network Wizard
(Manage Internet Connections)
Purpose:
Assist in setting up a Dial Network Connection, utilizing the handset as a external modem with an available ISP such as MSN or AOL.
Phone Album
(Manage Photos)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of personal photos from the handset to the computer. This application contains a imaging editor which provides a small set editing tools such as a Red Eye reducer tool, cropping tools, etc…
Movie Editor
(Edit Movies)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of your videos from your handset to the computer. This application contains a video editor which provides a small set video editing tools such as a Rendering, video splicing capabilities, etc…
Sound Editor
(Edit Sounds)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of audio files from the handset to the computer. This application contains an audio editor which provides a small set audio editing tools such as a Echoing, Fading, etc…
Multimedia Player
(Play multimedia files)
Purpose:
Assist in playing certain video files that the standard Desktop Media Player may not support. Formats supported depend on handset capabilties.
Sync
(Phone Sync with Outlook)
Purpose:
Transfer and management of Personal Information Manager Data (PIM data: Contacts, etc.) from your handset to the Microsoft Outlook directly.
Multimedia Composer
(Compose Multimedia Messages)
Purpose:
Assist in customizing and sending Multimedia messages from the PC.
In addition to the above mentioned applications bundled on the PC Studio 3.0 CD, you will also find a Sample Media kit containing “clip art” and the USB drivers needed for these operations. There are also various Help Files in PDF format (PDF files Require the use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view) format in many different languages.
