Friday the 13th 2009 x264 704x288 Hi Qual [ 399MB ]

This release was audio/video synced by Stuffies so no PROPER is required.

I have taken the STG (Stuffies 2nd TS release) and encoded it in x264, lowering the massive file size (1.36GB) to less than a third (399MB) it's original size and still retained very good quality, even when the screen is enlarged to a larger size. It is very comparable to the XVid STG release. Enlarging the screen size is where video artifacts become much more visible in most other small x264 releases, it's okay looking at video size pictures, but it does not show what the video looks like when it is enlarged. That is where the 300MB style x264 releases really begin to suck and I have seen a great deal of that recently. I don't believe that 300MB gives acceptable quality at a reasonable resolution. Not when it is enlarged anyway, it may look okay at small postcard size but anything more and the image quality becomes poor. A good x264 release in a small size is very rare. So I have included some images of this release enlarged to my usual working Display Resolution of 1280x1024 to give an idea what the video would look like if sent to a HD display.
