    Very hip vintage guarachas, mambos, chachachás, montunos ...and a way cool descarga ("Traigo Timbilla") from Venezuela, circa 1960 that also includes a terrific rendition of Puente's "Mambo Gozon." The vintage Venezuelan stuff never fails to amaze, and it really calls to question the notion that salsa just simply popped up in New York. Here's yet more proof that great stuff was happening all over the place.
